What a real pre-shipment inspection includes

Quality control before shipping is the cheapest insurance in importing. Here is what a proper pre-shipment check actually covers.

By the time a defective order lands at your door, it is already too late — the money is spent, the supplier is paid, and your options are bad. A pre-shipment inspection is the last and cheapest moment to catch a problem, while the product is still in China and still the supplier's responsibility. Here is what a real one covers.

Quantity and specification

It sounds basic, but the first job is confirming you are getting what you ordered: the right quantity, the right model, the right colors and sizes. Counts get miscounted and specs drift during production. We check the actual goods against your original order, not against the supplier's word.

The real product, on camera

Photos and video are the heart of an inspection. You should see the actual units that will ship — close-ups of materials, stitching, finish and any detail that matters for your product. This is the difference between trusting a description and seeing the thing itself.

You are not buying a shipment. You are buying visibility before the product leaves China.

Packaging and labeling

A product can be perfect and still arrive damaged because it was packed badly, or get held up because a label is wrong. We check that packaging protects the goods for the route they are taking, and that labels, weight and documentation are correct before the box is sealed.

A clear go / no-go

The point of all this is a decision. After the check you get clear written notes and a simple recommendation: ship it, fix it, or hold it. You approve before dispatch, so nothing leaves China without your sign-off.

Why it pays for itself

For a small business, one bad batch can erase the margin from several good ones. A pre-shipment inspection costs a fraction of an order and removes the single biggest risk in importing — finding out about a problem only after it is yours. It is the cheapest insurance in the business, and the one most first-time importers skip.
